28 Weeks!!!

How Many Weeks: 28 Weeks!! Size of a large eggplant.

Total weight gain: I went to the doctors yesterday 5/5 and gained a total of 11 pounds.

Maternity clothes: Yes!!! I love that the weather is getting warmer, which allows for maxi dresses. These are so much more comfortable than pants.

Stretch marks: Not a one!! Thanks to Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter here

Sleep: Not sleeping the greatest. We did switch mattresses this weekend, which has helped a lot. I miss sleeping on my stomach though.

Best moment of this week: We had a birthday party on Saturday for an adorable set of twin 4 year olds. It was nice to see our friends and celebrate. Celebrated Cinco de Mayo for Nate's birthday yesterday which was nice at my moms.

Miss anything: A glass of sangria yesterday for Cinco de Mayo.

      
Food cravings: Loving fruit, and would love to have an Italian sub!!!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Chinese food!

Have you started to show yet: Yes, the bump is getting bigger by the day

Gender: GIRL!!

Movement: The "blueberry" is moving around all the time. Luckily she doesn't keep me up at night.

Labor signs: no!!

Nursery: Her room is coming along. After my shower, I hope to finish it up before I get too much bigger. I still have energy so now is a good time to work on it. I just love sitting in there and admiring how warm and girly it looks. Tom and I agree it is our favorite room in the house. What a lucky little girl!!

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy!!! I am really enjoying being pregnant. 

 Looking forward to: Hopefully passing my Glucose test which I took on Monday and celebrating Mother's day this weekend.

27 Weeks

 

How Many Weeks: 27 Weeks, only 13 more to go!!

 

Total weight gain: Not sure I go to the doctors on the 5th so I will find out for sure then.

 

Maternity clothes:  Yes!!! I picked up some new tops over the weekend, since Old Navy was having a great sale. Hopefully I shouldn't need much more before this little "blueberry" arrives.

Sleep: Sleeping has been a bit rough since the weekend. I have been having really bad heartburn and just can't get comfortable. Tom is going to switch out the mattresses with the spare bedroom in hopes that may help.

 

Best moment of this week: Tom and I went out Saturday night to Red Robin for dinner and then met up with some friends for bowling. It was really nice to see everyone, even though I didn't bowl :(.  Sunday we had dinner at Brick Oven with my cousin, her husband, and the 3 kids which was nice. We then took the kids for a walk and had Cold Stone. It was almost like one on one with all the little ones. I love seeing them and can't wait for our little one to join the bunch!!

 

Miss anything: A glass of wine at dinner

 

Food cravings: I love fresh fruit. I just can't get enough of it. I can't wait for more of it to come into season.

 

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing!!

 

Have you started to show yet: Yes, this bump just keeps growing.

 

Gender: GIRL!!

 

Movement: She is a constant mover and shaker! It's fun to feel her jumping around in there.

Nursery: The room is almost done. We finished on Sunday putting her furniture together and it looks absolutely beautiful. We still need to hang things on the wall and finish up some other projects but overall, we are both so excited with how great it looks.

26 Weeks!!

The past couple of weeks have been busy!!! We have been working on the nursery (pictures to come), and enjoying the nice spring weather. With being on spring break this week I have been able to catch up on some things that have been hard to get to during the week including the blog. I didn't have time to do a 25 week update but I did include the picture in this weeks update.

How Many Weeks: 26 Weeks !!! I can't believe how fast time is going.

Total weight gain: Not sure I go to the doctors on the 5th so I will find out for sure then.

Maternity clothes:  Yes!!! I am enjoying some of the spring outfits I have picked up. I just need a couple more spring tops.

Sleep: Sleeping is good. Definitely better than in past weeks.

Best moment of this week: This week has been pretty nice with the gorgeous weather and being on spring break. We celebrated Easter on Sunday with Tom's family and it was very nice!! Monday was really fun and my mom and I went to lunch and got a dress for my baby shower. It was definitely harder to find one than I thought but I absolutely love the dress!! I can't wait to wear it in a couple of weeks. Today I went and had breakfast with a friend and her little man. It is always fun to catch up with friends!! 

Miss anything: Nothing this week.

Food cravings: This week I have been craving guacamole!! I don't know if it's the warm weather but I can't wait until Thursday to do dinner so I can have some.

Gender: GIRL!!! It's going to be so exciting to see this little "blueberry!!"

Movement: She does move a lot and when she doesn't move, I get worried, luckily Tom calms me down and always makes me feel better!! I guess the worrying comes along with being a mom.

Labor signs: No. 

Nursery: Her room is looking amazing!! I can't wait until it all comes together. Tom and I have been working on her furniture. It is great to see all the little touches that make it a nursery. She is going to absolutely love it. Pictures to come.

24 Weeks!!!!

The last couple of weeks have been extremely busy and I know I haven't been updating. I'm sorry for being behind. Although I do not have pictures for week 23, I have included week 22 pics. Hopefully I am back on track now and will be updating weekly!!!

How Many Weeks: 24 Weeks !!!

Total weight gain: I gained 5 pounds since last month.

Maternity clothes:  A majority of my wardrobe is maternity with a couple pieces thrown in here and there that are pre-maternity. Luckily with spring coming, tops are flowy and I have some pretty tops from last spring that are still fitting.

Sleep: Sleeping has been much better the past couple of weeks. I usually wake up around 5:45 to use the bathroom but other than that I am sleeping the whole night. She is still kicking in the early morning.

Best moment of this week: It's only Thursday and this week has been pretty busy. We celebrated my dad's birthday on Sunday and Monday. Sunday we went to Spirito's in Elizabeth, where they have the most AMAZING ravioli's. Then on Monday we went to the Stirling Hotel for dinner. I also had a doctors appointment on Monday and the "blueberry" is measuring right on track and her heartbeat was great!! It is always fun to hear her. I can't wait until we get to finally see her!! I need to go in the next couple of weeks for the glucose testing. Ughh!!!

Miss anything: Nothing this week.

Movement: She is constantly moving throughout the whole day. She is super active, which makes me curious to see if this will continue when she arrives.

Food cravings: I still enjoy cereal, bagels and fruit. These are definitely my favorite. I have to start cutting out OJ and spaghetti sauce though because it is giving me terrible heartburn :(

Gender: GIRL!!! I can't wait to see what she looks like.

Nursery: The nursery is coming along. We had her room painted 2 weeks ago, the painters did a wonderful job and we absolutely love the way it came out!!!   The room is  getting carpeting tomorrow and her furniture is coming next Saturday. I am so excited to see how everything comes together. It's hard to believe that she will be here so soon!!Pictures will be coming when it is all finished.

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy!! I am really enjoying being pregnant!!

Looking forward to: Yoga!!! I started prenatal yoga last week and I love it. I hope that it will help with labor. I have friends who say that it was amazing and really helped them through the whole process.

 

Happy St. Patricks Day- 21 Weeks

How Many Weeks: 21 Weeks !!!

Total weight gain: 8 pounds.

Maternity clothes: I am mostly wearing maternity clothes. Although the dress I wore in this weeks picture is Gap non-maternity, which  I got over the summer.

Stretch marks: Not a one!! Let's stay that way.

Sleep: This week has been a little rough. I have been getting up between 2:30 and 4 and not being able to go back to sleep. All day I'm not tired but by 7-8 pm I start to get a bit sleepy.

Best moment of this week: This weekend was so jam packed. It started on Friday when I went over to my cousins to pick up stuff she had for the baby that her little one had grown out of. It is so nice to have such a great family and our little girls will be like 16 months apart. She had so much stuff for us, I couldn't be more grateful. Then on Saturday, I had really pretty maternity pics done with my best friend who is also having a little girl come April. (Pics to come soon).  Then Jenn and I had a wonderful prenatal massage at Flic Spa in Cranford. The massage was amazing, probably the best I have ever had and it included a foot soak and hot tea. I would highly recommend the place to anyone, not just for prenatal massages either. Then on Sunday, I had a great lunch with Meghan and Kristen. Its always fun to catch up with friends who I have known for like ever!!!

Miss anything: Nothing really this week.

Movement: Yes!!! She has been kicking around. She moves a lot in the early morning and at night when I lay down before bed. 

Food cravings: Carbs, carbs and more carbe!!!  Still loving cereal, bagels, and fruit. 

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week that comes to mind.

Gender: It's a GIRL!!!! We are so over the top excited. I never expected the "Blueberry," to be a girl!!

Labor signs: No. 

Nursery: We have nothing definite yet, but we did order her furniture and the room is going to be yellow and grey.

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy!! I am really enjoying being pregnant!!

Looking forward to: Registering tomorrow!!! I can't wait to go and pick out goodies for this little one.

The Big Reveal!!!

So today was the day we had been waiting for!! I had taken the day off of work which worked out really nice because Tom was off as well since he just got back from a golf trip in the Dominican Republic. We had our 20 week appointment/ultrasound at 11 am. I was so excited I barely slept the night before.

We arrived at the doctors and didn't have to wait long before they took us in. We had a wonderful ultrasound technician, she was so friendly and explained everything that she was seeing on the screen and the "blueberry," was so cooperative!!! We got to see the heart, lungs, spine, kidneys, feet, arms, and then it was time for the "Big Reveal!!!" The technician asked if we had any clue as to the sex or if we preferred one over the other and neither of us had any idea! Then she showed us that the "blueberry," was a GIRL!!! We were so incredibly excited!! I couldn't even concentrate the whole rest of the visit. 

After the appointment we went to lunch and then my Mom, Dad, Nick, Chris, Grandma, Erin and Nate came over for dinner!! After we ate we had everyone guess what the baby was and then we told them it was a GIRL!! The votes were split, but everyone was super excited!!

   

                                           

19 Weeks!!

How Many Weeks: 19 Weeks !!!

Total weight gain: I go back to the doctor in 1 week but so far I think 5-6 pounds.

Maternity clothes: Yes!! Mixing my pre-pregnancy tops in when I can.

Stretch marks: No. Still lotioning up that belly.

Sleep: Overall the sleep has been working out well. I do think we need a new mattress though. 

Best moment of this week: This weekend was very special. On Sunday one of my best friends had her Sprinkle for her soon to be little girl!! She got some amazing gifts and Baby Fish is going to be the prettiest and stylish little girl with all her new clothes and shoes. 

Miss anything: A mimosa. They looked delicious at the "Sprinkle."

Movement: Maybe a "flutter," still. It's so hard to tell, I just want this baby to start kicking, so that I know for sure. 

Food cravings: Carbs are my best friend and I am enjoying dessert at night. 

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week that comes to mind.

Have you started to show yet: Yes! Enjoying this bump.

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy!! This has been an enjoyable time so far. I have been lucky with no morning sickness and only bits of tiredness. I have been very lucky:)

Looking forward to: Having a relaxing weekend with my mom. We are going to work on some things for the baby!!
